Courtney M. Hart

Courtney Hart is a 4th year PhD Candidate in Strategy at the University of Kentucky and the former President of the UK Black Graduate and Professional Student Organization. Her current research focuses around social networks, impression management, and the linguistic properties of prototypical versus non-prototypical leaders. She also serves as an Instructor for Negotiations and Conflict Management at the University of Kentucky. In addition, she is current the Secretary of the Management Doctoral Student Association - An arm of the PhD Project that brings together African American, Hispanic American, and Native American PhD Students. Before pursuing her PhD, she received her BBA in Finance at Howard University, worked in marketing Google, and was the Chief Marketing Officer of Student Dream, a non-profit dedicated to incubating Black and Hispanic student entrepreneurs. In her spare time she loves to serve her community, travel to different countries, cook different cuisines, and learn about the economics of underserved populations.
